Samsung B7722 Duos is 3G, dual SIM smartphone

Samsung had announced its latest upcoming smartphone mobile, Samsung B7722 Duos, with some unique features as in 3G capabilities and third generation dual-SIM.Currently in Indian mobile market, there are many low-end dual SIM mobiles available. Yet, the craze and demand for smartphones is there. B7722 Duos smartphone meet out those demands and can be fetched at a price of Rs.23,000.



It weighs 112gm and physically measures 113.5x 55.5 x 14.3 mm. It sports a WQVGA 3.2" touchscreen, 256K colors and TouchWiz user interface with 240X400 resolution.



The handset is laid with 5 MP camera with LED flash, internal memory of 200 MB which can be expanded up to 8GB via microSD card. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP connectivity options. Messaging options like push email,SMS, MMS, Email and IM.In entertainment segment, FM recording feature and embedded media player is there which supports MP3, WAV, WMA, eAAC+, MP4, H.263 and H.264.



Powered by 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery, Samsung Duos B7722 is also the first dual-SIM smartphone in Indian mobile market to support 3G bands (900/1200Hz). The phone has in built Google maps and mobile tracker.

Sony Ericsson to launch Xperia X8 in India

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is an economically priced touchscreen mobile phone with features quite similar to the X10 but not that great. Though it runs on cheaper Android 2.1 update, referred to as Android 6.1 and is powered by a 600MHZ processor and 1200 mAh battery.. The handset is available in aqua blue/white, silver/white and pink/white. It has a 3-inch, HVGA capacitive touch screen. Its 3.2 MP camera is certainly hugely different from X10. It still runs Sony Ericsson's speciality User Experience Platform with the Timescape feature. The storage of Xperia X8 is expandable up to 16GB and 2GB card is included inside. Other features of Xperia X8 include accelerometer sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio with RDS, A-GPS, Facebook and Google apps.



The quad-band GSM phone, Xperia X8 supports the UMTS HSPA 800/1,900/2,100MHz bands.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is expected to be available in India in Q3 of 2010 at a price of Rs.15,000.

Nokia N9 is upcoming N series mobile phone

The Nokia N9 is a stylish QWERTY keyboard, full-touch UI phone with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen smartphone.The gadget has an anodized aluminum casing supportive for 16M colors up to a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.



It is also well equipped with Stereo FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter. The Nokia N9 is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash that clicks pictures at resolution of 4000x3000 pixels with autofocus. The Nokia N9 supports SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email and IM messaging features. The Nokia N9 has an in built browser which is in the configuration of WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, RSS feeds. Nokia N9 has a digital compass and A-GPS navigation enabled in it. The Nokia N9 has phonebook memory which has the capacity to store practically unlimited contacts, Photo call. The card slot provided is microSD (TransFlash) that can extend memory to as much as 32GB.

The smartphone will be launched most probably in next year i.e. 2011.

Samsung Wave S8500 to be launched in India

Samsung Wave S8500 is the ‘smartphone for everyone’, these would be the first few words when anyone will see it since it is like a mini computer in our pocket. Samsung which is a major electronic product manufacturer of the world has already announced it at mobile world congress in this year.

Available colour of this sleek and Bada OS platformed phone's are not unveiled as well as expected price. On the other hand, Samsung has recently launched Samsung S5630 Star 3G; Nokia 2690 and Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro New launch have also been stepped in the market.

Blackberry Pearl 3G launched in India

Blackberry Pearl 3G mobile phone from RIM has been launched in collaboration with Reliance telecom.



The new BlackBerry Pearl 3G is a CDMA handset which is slim and light weight. It features an optical trackpad,half QWERTY keypad, a 3.2 MP camera with flash, zoom, autofocus and video recording option. It offers support for up to 32 GB of memory via MicroSD card support .The Blackberry OS operated phone, Pearl 3G is armed with mobile applications like built-in GPS for location-based applications, 3.5mm port.It is available in Piano Black, Opal Pink, Royal Purple, Flash White, Red Gradient colors.

It runs on super5 speedy 624 Mhz processor.Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0 (micro), 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi (supports 'n' protocol also).Its price may fall somewhere between 20,000 to 30,000 INR.

Linux Maemo 5 OS based smartphone "Nokia N900" unleashed in India

Nokia N900 is most technically ahead smartphone in Indian market as it is supported on Linux Maemo 5. It truly stands out of the crowd.

The smartphones are popular and so are the companies associated with them. Many companies have started participating in the competition of producing smartphones. The new name in this regard is the Mindtree Ltd.



Actually the MindTree Ltd. is not basically a smartphone manufacturer. In fact the company produces computer software. The company has got good name in India for its softwares and now it wants to broaden its scope. That is why it will be soon producing the smartphones in India. The company has decided to invest around $11 – $12 million. The entire project will take at least five months. Android OS will be used by the company on their smartphone.


Though many companies are trying their luck in producing the smartphones but the success of every company depends on their own unique style and a number of other factors.

Acer Liquid E

The mobile called Acer Liquid E has got a high performace. This is due to its Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
