Motorola announces the availability of the MOTO W7 Active Edition 3G-based handset with motion gaming attribute. As the name implies, Motorola’s new w7 Active Edition slider is aimed at those sporty types, with its built-in pedometer and personal trainer application.
The incorporated accelerometer boasts guiding the phone’s activities as per users’ body movements, hand gesture and direction.
The built-in pedometer is also capable of keeping an eye on the steps taken while walking or running and is highly helpful in planning a workout. In addition, the personal trainer application also enables its users to fix workout goals, create workout profiles and make a check of summary reports.
The users are allowed to shake the mobile phone to keep a control of its activities such as turn over the mobile phone to silent the ringer of an incoming call, opt the snooze option to pause music or alarm. Move the mobile phone left or right to switch images and songs and start your preferred application by shaking the handset two times.
The phone also has built-in FM radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth, 8GB exterior optional memory 2 megapixel camera. The 3G network of the handset allows fast download of data and videos quickest access to web content. The users are free to watch videos, via net or on the phone on full screen and also benefits from video calls with the help of its VGA camera.
The handset also allows its users to hook up with a wireless headset as MOTOROKR S9 to get pleasure from music while exercising. The handset is also capable of providing 3D gaming experience. It is also built-in with games.
MOTO W7 Active Edition is expected to appears for Latin Americen and Asian customers in the foreseeable future in Q2 2009. The device will be rolled out in alpine white and licorice colors. And as to its pricing details, no word has been quipped up till now.
