We are being bombarded each day with news about the release of the iPhone 5, a new flagship smartphone from Samsung or a broad range of products from HTC. For the savvy consumers, all these are good news, but the price is frequently just as important for prospective customer. It seems like the ones who don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a gadget and accept a two years plan has no chance, and that they've been abandoned by manufacturers. Smartphones such as Huawei Impulse 4G are the exception, but rare as they are, these exceptions are welcomed.
Many were expected AT&T to launch this smartphone made by Samsung, so when we hear that the Chinese producer will ultimately take the credit, we can't help but be a little surprise. Fortunately, the characteristics of the Huawei Impulse 4G are everything that one can wish for from a smartphone that will only cost $30 on two-year contract. The processor will be a Qualcomm running at 800 MHz and the display a sufficient 3.8 incher WVGA capable of delivering crisp images. Some of them will probably be the ones captured by the 5 megapixel camera which can record movies at 720p.
What is inside is not particularly impressive if we compare, then with what the top of the line phones had to offer, but this would be a mistake. There is a huge discrepancy in price and with the best gadgets costing ten times more, the Huawei Impulse 4G is decent to say the least. It remains to be seen how the audience will react to the news that it is not made by Samsung as we've been informed. Quality wise, the same features are available, and even if it will never turn into a speed demon, at least it is inexpensive.
