As you grow older and start to contemplate your mortality, notions such as healthcare, insurance and Medicare plans become increasingly interesting. You don't want to be left outside the system, because if you get sick and need medical care the prices could crush you. Eligibility is easy to determine, and if you have over 65years old and are an American citizen or resident, you will have to do nothing. You will be automatically signed up and all you'll have to do is to choose between Medicare plans.
Since most of those in your positions take Part A and Part B, you will be tempted to do the same, because this seems to be less expensive. Part A for example, doesn't require any premiums to be paid for most of the seniors, but the level of coverage might be regarded as inadequate by some. They will continue to investigate Medicare plans and when they reach Part C, also known such as Medicare Advantage plan, most will realize its potential.
Among all these Medicare plans, Part C is the most appealing because it combines the benefits of Part A and Part B, but the healthcare is provided by a private insurer. As a result, you could benefit of superior conditions and better rates, as the competition among these private companies is intense. To simply wait for things to settle on their own is pretty risky, buy if you feel that the Original Plan is sufficient for you, there will be few obstacles to overcome.
