Samsung stops at nothing in its attempt to conquer the smartphones industry and in case the top-quality products they release are not enough, they will put subtlety away. It's time to state the obvious and Samsung Conquer 4G is a shining example of how the Korean manufacturer plans on taking over a fast-growing market. Smartphones with 4G capabilities are no longer a novelty and in the United States, carriers are trying to attain the dominant position, well before the actual technology hits the climax.

Samsung-Conquer-4GVerizon and AT&T are strong contenders and by coming up with Samsung Conquer 4G, Sprint hopes to close the gap and attract those customers for whom 4G means a lot. Powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU and 512 MB of RAM, Conquer 4G is slower than Samsung's flagship smartphone, but just as good as its direct competition. The 3.5-inch HVGA display sporting a 480 x 320 is not very impressive, and I'm not talking about Samsung standards, but the quest was to deliver an inexpensive smartphone with 4G.

There won't be many videos and pictures to capture with this device and later view on the display, as the camera has only 3.2 megapixels. What is surprising though, is that the images are crisp and the videos it captures is gorgeous, especially if you know how to extract the most from manual exposure adjustment. For a smartphone that aims to be ahead of its time, the Samsung Conquer 4G runs on the latest Android, the 2.3.4 Gingerbread and Sprint's interference are rather subtle, which is excellent news.

Overall, Samsung Conquer 4G doesn't live up to its name in terms of sheer quality, but it does when it comes to the value you get for your money. For $100 on a two years plan, you couldn't find a better smartphone with 4G capabilities.
