Nokia launches 5530 Xpress Music and 5230 touchscreen phones in India

Nokia is known to give tough competition to other mobile makers like Samsung,Sony Ericcson and LG and this time too,it is doing just that.




Nokia has now decided to capture the Indian market with its low priced touchscreen phone giving sleepless night to its contenders namely Samsung with its touchscreen phone Corby and LG Cookie.The Company,on 21st December, has launched Nokia Xpress Music 5530 priced at Rs 14,029 which shares similarity to Nokia 5800.It has also launched another model Nokia 5230 that is again low priced and possesses 3-G connectivity and a QWERTY style keypad which is quite surprising for a mobile in such a price range.

Other mobile makers provide the above two facilities of 3-G connectivity and a QWERTY style keyboard at a much higher price,one example of which is Samsung's Star 3G which is available for Rs. 11,500.

Sony Ericsson goes green,reveals Hazel and Elm

Sony Erricsson takes a "Green" turn and has announced the launch of its GreenHeart phones-Sony Ericsson Elm and Sony Ericsson Hazel in the Q2 of the coming year, 2010.The Company has manufactured both the models with recycled plastic which are devoid of hazardous chemicals.


Sony Ericsson Hazel,both consist of a green calculator,Walk Mate Eco Application,an eco friendly charger named as EP Green Heart that consumes less energy than the standard chargers,HSDPA connectivity,Accuweather that gives a free 10 day weather forecast.



While Sony Ericsson Elm has a large QVGA display of 2.2 inches,Sony Ericsson Hazel on the other hand has a 2.6 QVGA display.Sony Ericsson Elm which is a candybar with a base that is curved,will be available in two colors-Metal Black and Pearly Rose.On the other hand,Hazel will attract its users with colors like Superior Black and Passionate Rouge.

HTC announces the launch of HTC Tattoo which is now available in India with any GSM network.The android phone was earlier available with Vodafone. What is unique in HTC,something that is never seen before is that it can be

The Look and the Design:

Lets first move to its look.Being a compact phone,one would think that is easy to use because of its small size,the truth however is there are other mobiles which are much easier to use given the design.The curved ends at the lower part of the phone makes it difficult to get a grip over the phone.Moreover the plastic body makes it prone to accidentally falling off from one's hand.The built however shows strength as the parts of the mobile are tightly fitted and removing of the back panel requires a lot of effort.

Nokia plans one Linux phone

Nokia has plan to launch Linux software just one smart phone next year declared on Monday. The Finnish Firm has started to invest on Internet in recent years. The company has taken a stand in taking a key role in cell phone battle with Apple's iPhone. Nokia Linux Maemo operating system is seen as a key for the top cellphone maker in the battle against Apple iPhone, and many analysts and industry player have expected to roll out numerous Linux model already next year. Nokia started its first Linux Cellphone, the top of the range 0of the mobile is Nokia N900.



'Nokia need to work on Symbian and they have to hit the product' said Gartner Analysts Carolina Milanesi. The Maemo operating system will be updated in 2010, with full Qt technology which enables software developer to create application for different operating system, i phone like touchscreen and tighter integration of Nokia.

'Launching one Maemo phone is not a big deal for Nokia when Nokia can develop iPhone without standout design' said Analyst Neil Mawton on Wednesday. Nokia's competitor Samsung gave up unbeat forecast 2009 mobile phone sales on Monday due to sharp growth in touch screen mobile phones. On Wednesday Nokia marketing head said that' Company has no plans to sell their manufacturing plants.
