The wait is over.Nokia N97 has finally launched after months of anticipation.The dimensions of the mobile phone are apt.Though the dimensions of the phone are different on the paper,it fells a lot smaller in hand.The build is excellent and the slider mechanism works flawlessly.





Front view:

The menu key has been changed and looks similar to the keys in N86 with dotted pattern.However the call key and he end keys are just like any standard Nokia mobile.the keys are kept at a comfortable angle so that it is easy to use in both portrait and landscape mode.





Features:

The keys to Nokia 97 possess the same basic design and shape.The space key is on the right side which makes the beginner take some time to get used to.The plastic cover from the rear side is removed and replaced with small metal cover which not only saves millimetres of thickness but also adds solidity to the design.The camera does not have a lens cover which makes it prone to damage.


Software:

Nokia N97 runs on Symbian S 60 5th edition and possesses kinetic scrolling.Although Kinetic scrolling was available in mobile phones such as Nokia 5530 Xpress music,it works in the main menu with icon view in this phone. The interface speed is good and the phone,responsive.The n97 mini is priced at Rs. 30,000 which is a thousand bucks cheaper than N97 itself.

The Pixon's other media capabilities are not to be overlooked. It can record video at a resolution of 720 by 480 pixels at 30 frames per second, or 120 frames per second at QVGA (1280 by 960) quality, and it can decode SRS Virtual 5.1 audio.

The 13.8mm-thick Samsung Pixon can also provide high-speed mobile Internet via its 7.2-mbps HSDPA connectivity.

In terms of general usability this is my favourite 8-megapixel handset to date. The Pixon brings these parameters to new heights.

The Nokia E52 is a no-compromise electronic gadget and you can tell at a glimpse. The extensive use of metal doesn't go unnoticed by either eye or hand. Speaking of hand feel - the excellent build quality is perfectly matched to any other of mobile phone.




The hardware is top notch as you have every right to expect in the Nokia E series, except for the camera of course, but don't pretend you're surprised now. Well, the QVGA screen could be questioned too, but non-touch Symbians just seem stuck at that resolution and that's that.

With great email and office support, excellent browser and speedy CPU to run things fast and smooth, only one question remains. Is there really much left for the E55? It's practically the same phone with a half-QWERTY keyboard.The Nokia E52 is flawlessly built just like the Nokia 6700 classic. The phone looks great all over and is one of those few that really manage to impress our team so much. A joy to have around, the handset is equally comfortable to use. The Nokia N97 will be powered by Symbian S60 5th edition (S60v5), a new touch-enabled version of the operating system this company puts on its high-end models. It will be based on a 434 MHz processor and 128 MB of RAM.The 1500 mAh battery will be good for up to 9.5 hours of talk time or 4.5 hours of video playback.

If you get a phone in market which has both features of N-gage and high end Mp3 mobile phone , i know the answer. Even i cant stop having that with me. So here comes Nokia N81. Two smartphone in one. N-Gage is no longer the name of a specific phone of Nokia it’s a platform now. So this new Nokia N81 is a new nokia smartphone with N-gage platform.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is about to debut in US markets after doing an uproar in Europe. This music phone though not the first one in line is S60 5th edition device with touchscreen support. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic comes with stylus & finger point support with Carl zeiss optics , microSD memory slot with support for 16GB cards, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and a dual LED flash. User interface of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone can be considered as cheap imitation of IPhone . The only major feature of the phone can be supposed as its Comes with Music edition, which supposedly one year kind of support for downloading Music from Nokia store. Nokia N96 firmware update

For all those Nokia buffs who were waiting for anything new from NOKIA after the announcement of N97 your wait has come to an end. Nokia is coming up with v12.043 OTA (Over the Air) update of N96 firmware. Nokia N96 firmware update is based on the S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 platform.
This update is also available through Nokia Software Updater (NSU).The updates are considered to emphasise more on smoother user experience. Updated Nokia N96 results in faster navigated interfaces and more accurate camera focus. WiFi is also improved with faster connects & improved range.

Other improvements include Improved overall Bluetooth interoperability Improved overall Bluetooth interoperability. This updated firmware also changes the overall email experience & make the Nokia N96 compatible with Nokia Email service (application available as separate download) .

Many fixes for conditions that can lead to application crashes or instabilities have also been introduced in this update. There has also been a fix for issue with alarm snoozing when alarm was set and device was powered off. I think all the above are pretty descent reasons for Nokia N96 update with the new version.
