After the success of Wildfire, HTC announced the launch of its upgraded version called HTC Wildfire 2. This Smartphone is expected to be launched in June 30th 2011. The price is not yet released. HTC Wildfire 2 is a high end mobile phone with rich features. It is having the basic operating features like messaging with a threaded view, MMS, Email, Push email, instant messaging etc. It also got HTML browser, stereo FM with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support. It has got a very good media player which supports almost every format like MP3/AAC+/WAV/ DivX/XviD/MP4/ H.264. It is also having some extra features like SNS integration, digital compass, Google search, maps Gmail etc. There is also an integration of YouTube, Google talk and Picasa. The other features that include are the organizer, document viewer, voice memo and predictive text input.
HTC Wildfire 2 will be a handset that supports both 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G HSDPA 900 / 2100 networks. Just as its predecessor, this will be having a superb display, according to the company sources. The Wilfrire 2 is going to have a 3.2 inches TFT capacitative touch screen with resolution 3230x480 pixels and 256K colors. There will be a accelerometer sensor for user interface rotating, an auto turn ON and OFF proximity sensor, HTC sense version 3.0 user interface and some touch sensitive controls. The camera will be the point of attraction. It is going to have a 5 mega pixel camera with image resolution 2592 x 1944 pixels with additional features like auto focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, touch-focus etc. The video recording is also a bit of surprising factor. It can produce a very good output with a resolution of 720x480 pixels at 24 frames per second. Unfortunately, in this model also there will not be any secondary camera.

It also got a GPU of Adreno 200 and a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. The primary memory of this handset is 384 Mb Ram which makes the handset to operate faster. There is not much details known, regarding the internal storage capacity of the handset. But the memory can be expanded up to 16GB using a micro SD card.
