War is among the worst plagues for humanity and after thousands of years, we are still not capable of solving our disputes through negotiation, rather than conflict. There are many areas on the globe where there is a lot of tension, but none is so intense in the civilized world as the Middle East. The Arab News will keep the whole world updated about what happens here, but the real challenge is to become more than an observer and to draw some conclusions.

With proud people on both sides, it is very difficult to reach an agreement and nobody is willing to give in on those things that they consider to be essential. Unfortunately, the Arab News will frequently highlight the costs these actions have and how much the simple people are suffering. In a world crippled by a financial crisis of unprecedented scale, the petty conflicts should be put aside, and fortunately, there is a strong tendency to reach an agreement.

Nobody really wants to fight all the time, and both parties hope a compromise will be reached, although concessions are difficult to make. This includes all the conflicts, revolutions and open wars that have been covered in Arab News and the entire world wishes for a peaceful solution for all these confrontations. Arguably, the most important role the Arab News play is that they shed light on a subject that should interest us all and don't allow for ignorance to set in, or the outlaws to mislead the public.
