“Samsung Galaxy S2”, mega-display android mobile launched in India

Amidst speculations, Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 smartphone will launch in India most probably by first quarter of next year. It is an alleged successor of mobile phone Samsung Galaxy S I9000.The specifications and features of this Android based smartphone handset are being circulated on Net. The Galaxy S2 sports 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display screen and this massive gadget has 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. The further advancement in Super AMOLED screen. Is its 2-GHz processor. It also comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM.

Another highlighted spec of this smartphone is its 8-megapixel camera. It has quite cool connectivity features also as per the rumours. This smartphone will have A-GPS for navigation through unknown places. There is WLAN (b / g / n) and Bluetooth 3.0 for local data transfer. There are ambient light sensor (ALS) and position sensor in the phone.

There is inherent compass and a flash memory drive in the phone. The handset can enlarge its memory to 32 GB with microSD cards. The operating system of the phone Samsung Galaxy S2 is supposed to be Android version 3.0 (Ginger Bread). The first quarter of 2011 will witness the launch of this handset whose price details is not yet known.

Nokia C7 - a Symbian 3 based, 3G handset now in India

Nokia C series mobile handset model, Nokia C7 will be on retail stores for sale in the month of October, 2010 along with Nokia X3 02 touch & Type. This Symbian 3 based smartphone handset is also 3G enabled. The gadget is armed with a 3.5-inch wide capacitive AMOLED touch screen and is made in aluminium. The Clear Black Technology used in the display screen promises good readability in sunlight. It is available in three dynamic colours viz. Frosty metal, Charcoal black and Mahogany brown. There is a 8-megapixel camera in the phone along with advanced connectivity features such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v3.0.

The other additional features of Nokia C7 are Ovi Maps with free GPS, digital compass, Nokia Messaging etc. In addition, it has also supports up to 32GB of microSD storage and has built-in 8GB of memory. There is dual microphone in Nokia C7 which is its unique feature as the second one is exclusively used for active noise cancelling and also for capturing audio during video recording. The Nokia C7 price in India is Rs. 15,500.


The slimmest (just 9.6mm)and one of its type Nokia handset is Nokia X3-02. Also called as Nokia X3 02 Touch & Type allows its users to interact via 2.4-inch resistive QVGA touch screen or via using the keypad. The specifications list of X3-01 is quite impressive as it include a 5-megapixel photo-snapper, 3G capability, WiFi connectivity, music player and FM Radio and up to 16GB microSD card support. The Nokia X3-02 will sell in retail stores from 23 October 2010.

Dell Streak launch in India postponed, coming in October

Then, its launch date shifted to the month of October 2010. After a long wait, it is finally ready for launch and the wait for Dell smartphone Dell Streak is over. This is an Android 1.6 operating system based smartphone and this is definite that it will be one to seek.

Vodafone announces 945 Android, 553 QWERTY and 543 Miss Sixty

Vodaphone has announced the launch of three new varied smartphone
handsets in the Indian handset market. The variety offered is very cool and it comprises of Vodaphone Android v2.1 Eclair packed Vodafone 945, QWERTY keypad packed Vodaphone 553 slider and a refreshed version Vodaphone 543 Miss Sixty. Vodafone 945 sports a wide and large. 2-inch WQVGA capacitive touch display, quite an improvement over Vodaphone 845. Its 5 megapixel camera with LED flash is not the only interesting feature. It also enjoys 3G capabilities with HSDPA support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.

Windows Phone 7 to release on Oct 11, 2010

It is now known with the help of reliable sources that Microsoft is all set to announce its much awaited mobile handset, Windows Phone 7 in a glittering event on 11 October, 2010. Hopefully, the phone will also release soon just ten days after that. Indeed, a good news for WP7 lovers who are anxiously waiting for this ultra-smart Windows phone.



Microsoft already started inviting members of the press to the 11 October event in London and most probably 8 November, 2010 will see the launch in US. Both dates seem quite credible but whole of the truth will be revealed on 11 October.



Microsoft had already announced the OS release back in February, 2010 at Mobile World Congress.

HTC Desire HD and Desire Z are also expected to be available in India.

Motorola Android powered handsets to get new maps

Motorola, Inc; an American telecommunications Multinational company which makes wireless phones has made available the new and upgraded version of maps of India free for Android powered handsets like Milestone 1&2, Milestone XT720 1&2 and Backflip 1&2 will get benefit from this offer and the user can be used this facility even without inserting the SIM card. These mobile handsets loaded with lifetime free access to fully voice guided street level navigable MapmyIndia maps of 620 cities and 576,000 towns and villages in India.

Faisal Siddiqui, country head, Motorola Mobility India told that the facility of new maps are more detailed and include information such as business districts, offices and market locations, he also added that the company believes to offers the latest technology to the Motorola customers.

The latest facility from Motorola offers voice guided navigation and routing in cities and major national and state highways. In order to use the service, Motorola users need to first launch 'India' map from Motorola's MotoNav application. The GPS Navigation service is free with no activation and data charges and is independent of mobile networks.
