The HTC Holiday is yet another elusive prototype from this major smartphone vendor. It made quite a stir this month when an alleged unit was put up for sale on Craigslist. Now a new set of photos have been leaked online confirming the Android phone is for real.
While the HTC Vigor will most likely be heading for Verizon, the Holiday is said to be slated for AT&T's equivalent LTE lineup. If nothing else proves this piece of news, the 'MyATT' logo found on the unit sold on Craigslist is a good indicator of where this phone is probably going to make its home. Speculations say that it will make its first official appearance on the carrier sometime this fall.
Based on these more recent photos, it looks like this HTC phone is going to be wide in frame, possibly sporting a 4.5 inch qHD touchscreen. Among the various reports on its specifications, the Holiday is going to be a new addition to the family of dual-core superphones coming to the market this year. It is said to have 1.2 GHz of processing power and 1 GB of memory.
Other hardware features include an 8 megapixel rear camera with a flash, a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calls, the usual support for 802.11 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, and four touch buttons located right below the main panel. It has also been rumored about that the specific Android platform that's going to drive the Holiday will be version 2.3.4 and its graphical user interface will be HTC Sense 3.0.
